Staff Geoscientist
Earth Data Northeast, Inc. ("EDN") provides geophysical and hydrogeological field services to the environmental industry. Position involves the operation of packer testing equipment in the field for the purpose of formation evaluation, as well as the installation of multi-level groundwater monitoring and sampling systems. Office responsibilities include data analysis, interpretation, and report writing. Position involves approximately 50-70% outdoor field work and travel throughout the United States. Work activities will be performed on groundwater contamination sites in support of site investigations and remediation.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in geology/hydrogeology, geophysics, environmental science or similar field from an accredited college or university and a strong interest in the earth sciences. Candidates must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, superior driving record, and be insurable. Candidates will be required to participate in health and safety training, medical monitoring, and drug and alcohol testing. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER safety training a plus.
Salary based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical insurance and retirement savings plan.
